Chapel of Remembrance
Magdalen Cemetery, Gorleston-on-Sea, located at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Crematorium.
The Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance is a simple, traditional, yet lasting memorial to loved ones, displayed in a glass case.
There are four richly tooled and bounded volumes covering the whole year: January to March, April to June, July to September and October to December. Inscriptions are handwritten in the finest traditions of medieval illuminated manuscripts.
The name of the deceased and a suitable epitaph can be recorded on the date of death, or on any other date of special significance. Pages are turned daily so that inscriptions can be viewed, although viewing is not restricted to the date of entry.
Memory Books and Cards
Small inscribed memory books and cards are also available. An identical copy of the entry you have placed in the Book of Remembrance is a popular choice or you may wish for an alternative to keep with you.
Bronze Wall Plaques
Secured on the inside wall of our tranquil Chapel of Remembrance, bronze plaques are a lasting memorial to you loved one and can feature a selection of motifs.
